Bleeding clutch system > < Removing and installing clutch slave cylinder

t  Hose clamps, up to 25 mm -3094-

Removing
–  Remove air cleaner housing → Injection and ignition system; Rep. gr.24.

–  Using hose clamp -3094-, clamp off supply hose to clutch master cylinder.
  Note
  A30-10137
t  Make sure that no brake fluid escapes onto the gearbox. If this does happen, clean the affected area thoroughly.
t  Place a cloth underneath to catch escaping brake fluid.
–  Release clip -3- with a screwdriver and disconnect pipe/hose assembly -1- from connection -4-.
–  Detach pipe/hose assembly from bracket and remove.
  Caution
Risk of brake fluid escaping.
Do not press clutch pedal after removing clutch slave cylinder.
Installing
Installation is carried out in reverse sequence; note the following:
–  Connect pipe/hose assembly to clutch master cylinder and clutch slave cylinder → Fig..
–  Bleed clutch system → Chapter.
–  Install air cleaner housing → Injection and ignition system; Rep. gr.24.
