  Note
Lubricate all bearings and moving surfaces with grease -G 000 450 02-.
   
1 - Cable end-piece
q   Secures gear selector cable to gearbox selector lever
q   Detaching from gear selector cable → Fig.
2 - Securing clip
q   Removing → Fig.
q   Renew
3 - Retaining clips
q   Renew
4 - Gear selector cable
q   Detaching and securing at gearbox selector lever → Fig.
q   Removing and installing → Chapter
q   Adjusting → Chapter
5 - Selector housing

q   Renew
7 - Gate selector cable
q   Detaching and securing at gate relay lever → Fig.
q   Removing and installing → Chapter
q   Adjusting → Chapter
8 - Cable support bracket

q   20 Nm

13 - Cable end-piece
q   Secures gate selector cable to gate relay lever
q   Detaching from gear selector cable → Fig.
14 - Securing clip
q   Removing → Fig.

Removing securing clip
–  Lift up tab -arrow-.

Detaching
–  Lift up tab on securing clip -1- to detach securing clip from gearbox selector lever and then pull gear selector cable off pin.
–  Lift up tab on securing clip -2- to detach securing clip from gate relay lever and then pull gate selector cable off pin.
Securing
  Note
t  Renew securing clips.
t  Apply a small quantity of grease -G 000 450 02- to the pins.
t  -Item 3- can be disregarded.
–  Press cable onto pin and secure with securing clip.

Detaching cable end-pieces from gear selector cable and gate selector cable
–  Pull locking mechanism forwards -arrow 1- onto stop and then turn to left -arrow 2- to lock.
–  Take cable -B- out of cable end-piece -A-.
