Removing and installing selector shaft
Removing and installing selector shaft
   
Removing
–  Remove air cleaner housing → Injection and glow plug system; Rep. gr.23.
–  Remove gearbox selector lever → Item.

–  Put selector shaft in neutral position.
–  Remove bolts -arrows- and pull selector unit out of gearbox housing.

Installing
Installation is carried out in reverse sequence; note the following:
l  Tightening torque → Chapter „Exploded view - selector unit“
–  Set selector plates in neutral position.
–  Apply sealant -AMV 188 200 03- evenly to sealing surface of selector mechanism cover.
–  Put selector shaft in neutral position.
–  Position selector shaft so that selector finger -arrow- is engaged in selector plates.
–  Install gearbox selector lever → Fig..
