Separating engine from manual gearbox Special tools and workshop equipment required

t  Shackle -10 - 222 A /12-

t  Workshop hoist -VAS 6100-

Procedure l  Engine/gearbox assembly removed and attached to engine support -T10416-. –  Unscrew bolts -1 and 2- and detach starter from gearbox.

–  Fit shackle -10 - 222 A /12- on gearbox, as shown in illustration. –  Engage workshop hoist -VAS 6100- in shackle.

–  Unscrew bolts -arrows- and remove cover plate -1-.

–  Remove bolts -1 and 3- securing gearbox to engine.   Note Disregard -items 2, 4, A-. –  Detach gearbox from engine.
