Installing fuel return lines
Installing fuel return lines
Procedure
  Note
Renew O-rings and retaining clips for return lines.
–  Prise O-rings off all return lines. Do not use sharp-edged tools to avoid damaging the return lines.
  Note
Lubricate all O-rings with engine oil or assembly oil before installing.
   
–  Carefully clean contact surface -2- for O-ring.
–  Take care not to twist O-ring -1- when fitting it.
  Caution
Risk of return hoses coming loose.
Always renew retaining clip if removed.
–  Coat new retaining clips for return lines with grease.
–  Press return lines onto side of injector and press on retaining clip using long-nose pliers.
–  Check that return lines are properly secured by pulling them.
–  Bleed fuel system and then check it for leaks → Chapter.
