Removing and installing steering lock housing
Removing and installing steering lock housing
Special tools and workshop equipment required
t  Socket -T10424-
   
Removing
–  Remove steering column switch module → Chapter.
–  Unplug electrical connectors -1, 4-.
–  Remove shear bolt -2- using socket -T10424-.
–  Detach steering lock housing -3-.
  Note
If it is not possible to remove the shear bolt with the socket -T10424-, the bolt will need to be drilled out using an angle drill and a Ø 8.5 mm bit.
Remove ignition/starter switch and lock cylinder before renewing steering lock housing.

Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:
–  Tighten new bolts -arrows- until head shears off.
–  Install steering column switch module → Chapter.
