Storing, transporting and disposing of airbag units, belt tensioner units and battery isolation units (pyrotechnic components)
Storing, transporting and disposing of airbag units, belt tensioner units and battery isolation units (pyrotechnic components)
t  Storage must be in accordance with the statutory regulations of the countries in question.
t  Transportation must be in accordance with the national and international guidelines which regulate the details of the packaging, marking, labelling and accompanying documents.
t  Non-ignited pyrotechnic components must be disposed of in their original packaging and in accordance with national regulations. Please contact your importer if you require further information.
t  Only pyrotechnic components that have been triggered completely may be disposed of with commercial refuse.
  WARNING
t  This does not apply to belt tensioners which are Wankel-powered. These must be treated in the same manner as non-ignited pyrotechnic components (for example airbags, seat belts, pyrotechnic battery isolators).
t  Reason: The workshop does not have the means to check whether the Wankel-type belt tensioners have ignited fully (in all ignition stages).
