Removing

  • ‒ Note radio code on vehicles with coded radio; if necessary request it.
  • ‒ Disconnect battery.
  • ‒ Remove coolant system expansion tank and lay to one side, do not open coolant system.
 
A46-0149
  • ‒ Detach vacuum hose from brake servo.
  • ‒ → Disconnect the brake pressure sender -2-
  • ‒ Unplug connector for brake fluid reservoir -1-.
 
A46-0150
  • ‒ → Disconnect the brake pressure sender -2-
  • ‒ Unplug wire connector for solenoid -1-.
  • ‒ Protect the engine compartment against escaping brake fluid using plenty of cloths.
  • ‒ Unscrew lines to brake master cylinder.
  • ‒ Removing driver's storage compartment.

A46-0151
  • ‒ → Remove bolts -1-.
  • ‒ Remove cover -A-.

 
N47-0114
  • ‒ → Fold the cover -A- downwards.
  • ‒ Adjusting, removing and installing brake light switch
  • ‒ Detach brake pedal from brake servo .
  • ‒ Unscrew servo unit.
  • ‒ Thread out brake servo with brake master cylinder to front and remove.

Installing

Installation is in reverse order.

  • ‒ Adjusting, removing and installing brake light switch => Page 45-22
  • ‒ Bleed the brake system after installation => Page 47-21.
