Checking the function of the positioning motor for the fresh-air/recirculated-air flap -V154- and the fresh-air/recirculated-air button in the heater controls |
Note t
| Windows may mist up in recirculated-air mode (the humidity of the air in the passenger compartment increases and then condenses on windows; the air does not dry as it does in vehicles with air conditioning). |
t
| The “recirculated-air mode” function is cancelled when the ignition is switched off. Switching the ignition back on actuates the positioning motor for the fresh-air/recirculated-air flap -V154-, and the heater switches from recirculated-air mode to fresh-air mode (if recirculated-air mode had previously been selected). |
t
| In order to enable misted-up windows to be cleared as quickly as possible, recirculated-air mode is not possible in “air to windscreen” position (the switch in the heater control electronics switches over to fresh-air mode). If the rotary knob is turned to “air to windscreen” and the recirculated-air button is pressed, the LED in the button lights up briefly and goes out again when the button is released. |
