Removing and installing coolant temperature senderG62
Removing and installing coolant temperature sender -G62-
   
Removing
l  Engine cold.
–  Detach bonnet → Chapter.
–  Open filler cap -arrow- on coolant expansion tank briefly to relieve residual pressure in cooling system.

–  Detach water collector -1- and move clear to one side (drain hose -2- remains connected).

–  Remove bolts -arrows- and push exhaust gas recirculation pipe -1- slightly upwards.

–  Unplug electrical connector -1- at coolant temperature sender -G62-.
  Note
Place a cloth underneath to catch escaping coolant.
–  Pull off retaining clip -2- and detach coolant temperature sender -G62-.
Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:
  Note
t  Renew gasket and O-ring.
t  Insert new coolant temperature sender -G62- immediately into connection to avoid loss of coolant.
–  Install exhaust gas recirculation pipe → Chapter.
–  Check coolant level → Anchor.
