Installing
   
Steering wheel and steering column are marked.
A - Line marking on steering wheel
B - Punch mark on steering column
This position must not be changed.
Otherwise, the steering rack may not be located in the central position.
Steering columns supplied as spare parts do not have a punch mark.
These must be marked accordingly after completing wheel alignment or test-driving vehicle.
–  Pull adhesive tape off coil connector. Take care not to turn coil connector.

–  Fit steering wheel.
Line marking -A- on steering wheel hub and punch mark -B- on steering column must align.
–  Install and tighten new multi-point socket head bolt -1-.
–  Install airbag module → General body repairs, interior; Rep. Gr.69.
–  Perform zero compensation of steering angle sender -G85- → Running gear self-diagnosis for ESP, steering; Rep. Gr.01.
