Disposal of motor/pump unit
Disposal of motor/pump unit
The fluids in the motor/pump unit do not contain toxic substances. These fluids can therefore be disposed of together with used engine and gearbox oil. “Used oil and fluids” for disposal include old engine and gearbox oil, including ATF, and mineral-based hydraulic fluids.
Used oil and fluids should be disposed of in accordance with the applicable environmental regulations.
Used oil and fluids that are suitable for recycling and recovery must on no account be mixed with brake fluid, antifreeze, synthetic resin or cellulose paint thinners or other chemicals.
After “draining” the used motor/pump unit, ensure that it is completely empty by allowing the remaining fluid to drip out.
Observe the applicable environmental regulations when disposing of the used unit (small quantities of hydraulic fluid will always remain in the housing).
Room temperature should be at least 20°C when draining the motor/pump unit.
