Removing and installing front seat heating switches
Removing and installing front seat heating switches
   
Removing
–  Switch off ignition and remove ignition key.
Vehicles without air conditioner:
The front seat heating switches are integrated into the front storage compartment.
–  Lever storage compartment -1- out of centre console.
–  Release retaining clips and remove seat heating switch -2- from storage compartment.

Vehicles with air conditioner:
The front seat heating switches are integrated into the air conditioning system/Climatronic operating and display unit -E87-.
–  Remove the radio set/navigation control unit → Rep. Gr.91.
–  Pull the air conditioning system/Climatronic operating and display unit -E87- out of the centre console -arrow-.

–  Press back connector catches -F- and detach electrical connectors -A … D-.
–  Press back connector catches -G- and detach electrical connector -E- (for heated rear window).
  A87-0193
–  Carefully release retaining clips -arrows- using a small screwdriver.
–  Take the seat heating switches -1- and -2- out of the air conditioning system/Climatronic operating and display unit -E87-.
Installing
Install in reverse order, paying attention to the following:
–  Plug in the connector.
–  Install the radio or navigation system → Rep. Gr.91.
