Removing and installing multi-function steering wheel control unitJ453

Removing and installing multi-function steering wheel control unit -J453-

–	Switch off all electrical equipment.

–	Remove ignition key.

Removing:

–	Remove driver's storage compartment → General body repairs, interior; Rep. Gr.70.

Unplug both connectors -2- and -3- from control unit -1-.

–	Screw out the two bolts -arrows- (3 Nm) and detach control unit -1-.

Installing:

–	Install accordingly in reverse order of removal.

–	Control unit encoding and adaption → Radio, telephone and navigation system, self-diagnosis; Rep. Gr.01.
