Cabin Ventilation Duct: Testing and Inspection
Air Extraction Vent, Checking
-
Check ventilation channels to both ventilation frames -A- in luggage compartment (left and right) for throughput.
-
Sealing lips -B- in ventilation frames -A- must move freely and close by themselves.
-
Blocked channels to ventilation frames or jammed sealing lips may cause windows to fog up.
NOTE:
-
In this illustration, ventilation frame -A- is depicted with rear bumper removed.
-
For forced air extraction, one ventilation frame -A- each is installed on left and right.
-
So that sealing lips -B- close correctly, ventilation frame -A- must be installed on proper side (smaller radius -C- at top).
-
In order for the passenger compartment ventilation to function properly, the vent openings -A- and -B- in the luggage compartment trim on left
and right must not be closed.
