Storage compartment trim - 7 - installed.

Grab handle installed.

Clip in front storage compartment cover - 2 -.

Removing
-

Remove heater controls or remove Climatronic Control Module J255 (A/C control head).

-

Unclip front storage compartment cover - 2 -.

-

Unclip storage compartment trim - 7 -.

Vehicles with manual transmission:
-

Remove cover with selector lever boot.

Vehicles with automatic transmission:
-

Version I: Remove selector lever cover.

-

Version II: Remove selector lever boot and cover.

All:
-

Remove bolts - 4 - (qty. 2)

-

Remove omega clips - 5 -.

-

Remove lining mat - 3 -.

Installing
Maintain the following assembly sequence:
-

Insert lining mat - 3 -.

-

Position omega clip installation position - 5 -.

-

Install screws - 4 - and tighten to specified torque.

-

Grab handle installed.

-

Clip in storage compartment trim - 7 -.

-

Install heater controls or install Climatronic Control Module J255 (A/C control head).

-

Clip in front storage compartment cover - 2 -.

-

Clip in shift mechanism cover.

Screws - 3.5 Nm

Installing
Maintain the following assembly sequence:

Lining mat - 3 - installed.

-

Clip in storage compartment trim - 7 -.

-

Install heater controls or install Climatronic Control Module J255 (A/C control head).

Grab handle installed.

-

Clip in front storage compartment cover - 2 -.
