Installing new control module

CAUTION!
Strong vibrations (e.g. falls, impacts) can destroy the control module. After that, the control module must no longer be used.

‹› Before the new control module can be installed, the pump motor adapter must first be inserted up to stop and thereby be engaged. The adapter

guide must not be damaged.

‹› The adapter, included with the replacement control module, can only be engaged once and then can no longer be separated.

‹› The white, poured mass at the base of the control module serves as a seal and must not be removed.

‹› Various contact surfaces on the adapter, pressure sensor and control module, such as the silicone gel and the sealing elements, must not be

touched, contaminated or damaged by hand or any other object.

Press adapter into the adapter guide up to stop so that it is engaged.

Set control module onto hydraulic unit, without angling.

Screw together hydraulic unit and control module using the included new Torx bolts.

‹› A new control module may be installed a max. of two times to a used hydraulic unit, to ensure that the elastic gasket seals sufficiently.

‹› A used control module may not be installed a second time.

Bracket for ABS/ESP, removing and installing

In order to remove the bracket for ABS/ESP, the ABS control module must first be removed.

Remove Phillips-head screw - 1 -.

-

Unclip line - 2 -.

-

Remove nut - 1 -, Tightening specification 20 Nm.
