‹› If reusing brake pads, mark location. Install in same position when installing otherwise uneven braking will occur!

Remove brake pads => [ Brake Pads ] See: Disc Brake System/Brake Pad/Service and Repair.

Install brake pedal loading device (V.A.G 1869/2 ) between brake pedal and driver seat. Depress brake pedal a minimum of 60 mm.

‹› By doing this, the valves in the brake master cylinder are closed and the brake fluid reservoir does not run empty.

Connect bleeder bottle hose to bleeder screw of removed rear brake caliper, as well as front brake caliper on same side of vehicle.

Open bleeder screws.

Close front bleeder screw.

-

Do not remove brake pedal loading device (V.A.G 1869/2).

Remove hose from brake caliper.

Installing

Installation is in reverse order of removal, with special attention to the following:

Install brake pads => [ Brake Pads ] See: Disc Brake System/Brake Pad/Service and Repair.

Press brake lever - 2 - in direction of -  arrow - and hook in parking brake cable - 3 -.
