Note: Brake master cylinder and brake boosters can be replaced independently of one another.
1 - Gasket

Functional check

With engine switched off, depress brake pedal firmly several times (to exhaust vacuum in the unit).

Depress brake pedal with average foot pressure, hold and start engine. If the booster unit is working properly, the pedal will be felt to give
slightly under foot (booster assist becomes effective).

Disconnect from brake pedal
^
If faulty, replace completely.
3 - Seal ring

4 - Brake master cylinder

Cannot be repaired.

If faulty, replace completely.
5 - Heat shield
^
Allocation
6 - Nut, 20 Nm

Self-locking

Replace each time it is removed
