Fold back the carpet on the driver and front passenger sides so that it is possible to remove the footwell vents for the back of the passenger
compartment - A - and - B -.

Remove both rear footwell vents - A - and -  B -.

Remove the Fresh Air Blower (V2) => [ Fresh Air Blower ] See: Heating and Air Conditioning/Blower Motor/Service and Repair/Fresh Air
Blower.

Remove heater controls (Heater Control Module ( J65)), do not remove base plate for heater controls. Refer to => [ Heater and A/C System
Controls ] See: Heating and Air Conditioning/Control Assembly/Service and Repair/Heater and A/C System Controls.

Remove the instrument panel and the instrument panel crossmember (central tube).

Remove Data Bus On Board Diagnostic Interface ( J533) (secured to bracket - A - in area of steering column).

Remove bolts - B - and release bracket -  A - from heater (bracket remains on wiring harness secure to vehicle). 

-

Remove both screws - A - on wiring harness mount -  B -
