Front Crankshaft Seal: Service and Repair

Crankshaft Seal, Belt Pulley Side

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Seal remover (3203)

‹› Counter-holder tool (3415)

‹› Assembly tool (T10053)

‹› Torque Wrench (V.A.G 1331)

‹› Torque Wrench (V.A.G 1332)

Removing

-

Remove ribbed belt => [ Ribbed Belt ] See: Drive Belts, Mounts, Brackets and Accessories/Drive Belt/Service and Repair/Ribbed Belt.

Toothed belt, removing => [ Toothed Belt, without Divided Toothed Belt Guard ] See: Timing Components/Timing Belt/Service and

Loosen crankshaft toothed belt gear. To do this, lock toothed belt sprocket with counter support (3415).

Remove crankshaft-toothed belt sprocket center bolt - 1 - -  2 - and remove toothed belt sprocket.

-

Remove diamond disc - 3 - from toothed belt gear.
