Check the motor, it must be held in its position by the bracket - A -, if it is not installed free of play, use foam to rectify play if necessary,
attaching it to inside of mounting points - F - of bracket - A -.
‹› Position of motor (and of door) is no longer visible with glove compartment installed, therefore it is sensible to check its function before installing
glove compartment. Refer to => [ Fresh/Recirculating Air Door Motor and Fresh Air Button, Checking ] See: Testing and Inspection (on vehicles
with A/C) or Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System VAS 5051 in "Guided Fault Finding" function. (on vehicles with manual A/C)
‹› If both toothed gears are assembled in incorrect position, fresh/recirculating air door does not reach its two end positions or motor does not run
cleanly and without hitching.

Switch ignition on.

Check the Fresh/Recirculating Air Door Motor ( V154) (on the Recirculation Flap Motor (V113)) and the control via the Heater Control Module
(J65 ). Refer to => [ Fresh/Recirculating Air Door Motor and Fresh Air Button, Checking ] See: Testing and Inspection (on vehicles without A/C)
or the A/C Control Module (J301) Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System VAS 5051 under "Guided Fault Finding" (vehicles with
manual A/C)

Activate the respective motor for as long until toothed gear - D - contacts stop "fresh air mode" or stop "recirculating air mode" and then check
position of fresh/recirculating air door - A -, it must be open (recirculating air mode) or closed (fresh air mode).
Install all removed components in reversed order.
