Disconnect the connector - C -.

Loosen securing ties of vehicle wiring harness on heater.

On vehicles with an electric auxiliary heater (only on diesel vehicles), disconnect wire connections to voltage supply of Auxiliary Air Heater
Heating Element (Z35).

Disconnect all electrical connections between vehicle wiring harness and the electrical components of heater at harness connectors.

‹› Wiring harness "heater" is removed along with heater.

Carefully pull right side of heater slightly toward rear (far enough that bolt - B - on right bracket - A - can be loosened).

‹› Only pull carefully on the heater so that bracket - A - does not break.

‹› To loosen the screw - B -, reach between heater and floor mat on right wheel housing (to make this possible, fresh air blower has been removed

earlier).

Remove bolts - B - and release bracket -  A - from heater (bracket remains on wiring harness secure to vehicle).

Disengage flange for coolant pipes to heater core - A - from pass-through of grommet - B -.
