Fresh Air Intake Duct Temperature Sensor

‹› As of model year 2006, the Fresh Air Intake Duct Temperature Sensor (G89) has been gradually discontinued, on vehicles without this

temperature sensor, only the Climatronic Control Module (J255) with part no. as of index "M" is or may be installed.

‹› On vehicles without Fresh Air Intake Duct Temperature Sensor (G89), an A/C control head Climatronic Control Module (J255) with part no. up to

index "L" installed enters a DTC into the DTC memory.

Removing

-

Remove dash panel complete with Dash Panel cross member. See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard / Instrument Panel

Remove A/C unit. Refer to=> [ Heating & A/C Unit ] See: Housing Assembly HVAC/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Heating &
A/C Unit.

Disconnect the connector - A -.

-

Rotate temperature sensor - B - 90° and pull it out of intake housing.

Check seal - C - for proper seating when installing. 

Installing

Install all removed components in reversed order:
