Removing
CAUTION!
‹› The upper rear lid trim only needs to be unclipped at the upper edge and bent away to remove the high-mount brake lamp.
‹› To prevent the upper rear lid trim from breaking, it must not be colder than 20 ?. Warm the trim slightly with a hot air gun if
necessary. This applies especially to older vehicles.

Unclip the upper rear lid trim at the upper retaining clips and bend it away.

Using long needle nose pliers, gently compress all the latches - 1 - - arrows -.

Beginning on the right side, push the high-mounted brake lamp out of its opening in the rear lid.

Disconnect electrical connector - 2 -.
‹› The connector can be disconnected only when the high-mounted brake lamp is removed.
