Service

If one xenon light sporadically flickers:

1. In GFF, address any stored faults and headlamp functionality.

2. Ensure that the 09 - Vehicle Electrics Control Module (J519) is properly coded for xenon headlamps

3. Check for shorts, proper continuity, damaged terminals or pins in the wiring harness from the headlamp assembly to the central electrics control

module. Visually inspect the wiring within the headlamp assembly.

4. If damage external to the headlamp assembly is found, repair the wiring.

5. If the wiring is not damaged, replace the Gas Discharge Bulb. This bulb will be covered under LNVW due to consequential damage.

If one xenon light on one side fails permanently:

1. Carry out steps 1 through 3 as stated above for the other condition, then proceed as follows.

2. Swap the Gas Discharge Bulbs from left to right. Check the headlamp functionality before reinstalling the bumper; removal and reinstallation of

bumper cannot be claimed twice for this TSB.

3. If the failure moves with the xenon bulb, replace the bulb.

4. If the condition remains on the original side, remove the High-Intensity Gas Discharge Lamp Control Module, and check the pins and terminals for

damage.

5. If there is no further damage found, the faulty control module and bulb must be replaced. This bulb will be covered under LNVW due to

consequential damage.

TIP:  

If no fault is found in the wiring harness inside of the headlamp assembly, replacement of the headlight assembly will not guarantee a successful
repair and is not permitted.
