‹› Depending on the version, different noise insulation may be installed.

Shift selector lever into "P" position and apply parking brake.

Start engine and allow it to run at idle.

Press and hold brake pedal.

With brake pressed, shift through all selector lever positions " P, R, N, D, S" at idle, retaining each position for at least 3 seconds.

Place used oil collection and extraction device ( V.A.G 1782) under the transmission.

Display on (VAS 5051B):

-

Read the transmission fluid temperature in display field -  1 -.

-

If a transmission fluid temperature of 35 °C is reached, remove the transmission fluid inspection plug - B -.
