Fluid - M/T: Testing and Inspection

Manual Transmission, Checking Gear Oil Level

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Torque Wrench (V.A.G 1331)

‹› Triple Square Socket Driver (3357)

or

‹› Internal hex socket insert, 17 mm

‹› Make sure that the vehicle is in a level position when checking the oil level.

Remove the center noise insulation fasteners - 1 to 3 -. 

-

Remove bolt - arrow - for the oil filler bore.

‹› Specification: Oil level must reach lower edge of oil filler bore.

If necessary, top off the gear oil; specification. Refer to => [ Code, Transmission Allocation, Ratios and Capacities ] See: Transmission and
Drivetrain/Manual Transmission/Transaxle/Application and ID/Code, Transmission Allocation, Ratios and Capacities.

Screw in bolt - arrow - with new seal.

Tighten the bolt for oil filler bore to tightening specification.
