Unlock 26-pin connector -1- and 40-pin connector -2- at engine compartment electronics box.

-

Remove nuts -1- and -2-.

-

Lift out engine compartment electronics box -3-.

NOTE:  Refer to the applicable wiring diagram for exact identification of connections on electronics box Wiring Diagrams.

Installing 
Install in reverse order of removal, noting the following:

Vehicles with 4-cylinder engine:

Install battery.

Vehicles with 6-cylinder engine: 
Reconnect battery. Required steps:
