Removing

Remove rear crossmember for vehicle floor, by removing nuts - 1 - and - 2 -.
CAUTION!
Using wire, secure the shield of the decoupling element for the front part of the exhaust system to the vehicle floor, before loosening the
threaded connections of the clamping sleeve - 3 -.

Separate exhaust system at clamping sleeve - 3 -.

Unhook exhaust system at retaining loops - arrow -.
Vehicles with 6-cylinder engine:
-
Remove vacuum diaphragm - 2 - for exhaust flap from tailpipe, thereby releasing heat shield - 1 - and pushing it in direction of - arrow -.

Unhook actuator rod - 3 - at the lever for exhaust flap.
