Fuel Pump Control Unit: Testing and Inspection

Fuel Pump (FP) Control Module J538, Checking

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Portable multimeter V.A.G 1526C

-

Connector test set V.A.G 1594C

-

Adapter cable V.A.G 1598/39

-

Test box V.A.G 1598/42

Work procedure

-

Battery voltage at least 12.5 V.

-

Fuses for Fuel Pump (FP) Control Module J538 OK.

-

Ignition switched off.

Check voltage supply for Fuel Pump (FP) (from Fuel Pump (FP) Control Module J538 )

-

Remove rear seat bench.

-

Unclip retainers - arrows - of cover for sealing flange.
