DTC P3137 (Intake Manifold Runner Control Circuit Bank 1, Basic Settings not Carried Out)

DTC P3138 (Intake Flap for Airflow Control, Control Difference)

Technical Background

^

ECM software.

^

The Intake Flap Motor V157 or Intake Manifold Runner Position Sensor G336 may be inoperative. (Both are included in one single unit.)

Production Solution

^

Optimized the ECM software (same as RVU CH).

^

Improved the manufacturing process for the Intake Flap Motor V157 and Intake Manifold Runner Position Sensor G336.

Service

1.

For A4 and A4 Cabriolet models with ECM SW Part No. 8E0 910 115 P (early MY07), replace the Intake Flap Motor V157 and perform the basic
settings (channel 142). Do not perform steps 2 7. For all other vehicles proceed with the next steps.

Check to see if RVU CH applies to the vehicle and if it has been performed. The ECM software update below is identical to the procedure
described for RVU CH.

If RVU CH applies to the vehicle and it has not been performed, perform RVU CH first. (See also RVU CH for more details.)

3.

Check the ECM to ensure it has not been tuned.

Note:
