Release clips - arrow - on connector side of Steering Column Electronic Systems Control Module (J527) and remove control module from
steering column switch module.

Carefully release catches - arrows - and remove return spring with slip ring - 1 - from steering column switch module (SMLS).
Installing
Installation is reverse of removal, but note the following:
‹› Return spring with slip ring is secured as a new part in center position with a cable tie or shear ring.

Ensure all catches and connections engage cleanly.

Then hook front of upper part of steering column trim into lower part - arrow 1 -.
