Coil Connector With Slip Ring (spiral Spring), Removing And Installing

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

-

Drill 2.5 mm Dia; length at least 75 mm

Removing

-

Pull steering wheel with adjuster all the way out and adjust downward.

-

Remove steering wheel.

CAUTION:  The spiral spring/return spring with slip ring must not be rotated out of center position (secure in installation position with
adhesive tape).

Remove gap cover - 1 - in - direction of arrow -.

-

Remove upper part of steering column trim upward from lower part - arrows -.

-

Remove gap cover and disengage upper part of steering column trim from lower part.
