Clamp off ground wire at battery with ignition switched off.

Vehicles without side airbag:
-

Remove lower C-pillar trim.

Vehicles with side airbag:
-

Remove rear side airbag.

All:
-

Disconnect electrical connector on crash sensor.

-

Remove bolts - 2 - (qty. 2)

-

Remove rear side curtain airbag crash sensor.

Installing
Installation is reverse of removal, but note the following:

Vehicles without side airbag:
-

Install lower C-pillar trim.

Vehicles with side airbag:
-

Install rear side airbag.

-

Switch on ignition.

CAUTION:  No one should be in vehicle when connecting battery.

Connect battery ground strap.

Follow measures after connecting battery.

NOTE:  If Airbag Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) K75 indicates a fault after installation, DTC memory must be checked, deleted and then
checked again.
