Steering Gear, Converting from Generation II to Generation III

‹› There is no steering gear of this generation as a replacement part for vehicles with ABS/ESP Mark 60 and Generation II steering gear.

‹› Generation III steering gear must be installed for it.

‹› On affected vehicles, other parts may need to be replaced in addition to the steering gear. The following information explains the vehicles that

require this and the procedures.

The following parts listed must be replaced when replacing Generation II steering gear:

‹› The wiring harness must generally be replaced. Refer to => [ Electrical Wiring ] See: Service and Repair/Removal and

‹› Allocation of corresponding replacement parts.
