Location: Threaded connection longitudinal control arm/wheel bearing housing.

For these operations, it is important to observe the specified sequence!

Put longitudinal control arm with bolts - arrows - to wheel bearing housing, but do not tighten at this stage.

-

Insert coupling rod - 1 - in longitudinal control arm, do not tighten nut at this stage.

-

Lift suspension using engine/transmission jack V.A.G 1383 A and wheel hub support T10149 until mounting bracket makes contact with body.

-

Tighten bolts - arrows - onto old impression marks.

-

Lower suspension using engine/transmission jack V.A.G 1383 A and wheel hub support T10149 remove from wheel hub.

-

Install coil spring.

-

Tighten bolts - arrows - for longitudinal control arm to tightening torque, note required position of components while doing so.

-

Tighten coupling rod nut - 1 - to longitudinal control arm.
