Grasp with hand (without gloves) on to vehicle Ground (GND) so that you are electrostatically discharged.

CAUTION!
‹› Always discharge static electricity by touching a grounded object, e.g. vehicle ground, before touching or removing Direct Shift

Gearbox (DSG) Mechatronic (J743).

‹› Connector terminals of transmission connector must not be touched by hand under any circumstances because control module and

therefore Mechatronic may be destroyed by static discharge.

Twist bayonet connection - 1 - of 20-pin connector to release it from transmission, and disconnect.

Place used oil collection and extraction device ( V.A.G 1782) underneath.

Loosen 5 bolts of the oil pan - arrows - in diagonal sequence.
