Carefully slide cover with protective sleeve forward over the selector lever cable. Do not damage protective sleeve when doing this.

Remove bolts - arrows -.

CAUTION!
‹› Do not touch the circuit board - B - of the selector mechanism function unit with your fingers, under any circumstances. The electrical

components on the circuit board could be destroyed by static discharge.

‹› The circuit board can only be replaced together with the selector mechanism function unit!

Remove locking plate - A - from the selector mechanism function unit.

‹› The locking plate is clipped in at the left and right with retaining tabs.

Remove retaining clip - 1 - for selector lever cable on shift mechanism function unit downward.
