Input Shaft Seal

Input Shaft Seal

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Extractor Lever (T20143/1)

‹› Thrust Piece (T40008)

‹› Sealing Grease (G 052 128 A1)

Remove transmission. Refer to => [ Transmission, Removing ] See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Transmission, Removing.

Remove the slave cylinder with release bearing => [ Clutch Slave Cylinder with Release Bearing ] See: Clutch/Clutch Release Bearing/Service and
Repair/Clutch Slave Cylinder with Release Bearing.

Pry out input shaft seal using Extractor Lever ( T20143/1).

‹› Do not damage the seal running surface on the input shaft.

Fill space between sealing lip and dust lip - arrow - halfway with Sealing Grease (G 052 128 A1).

Drive in seal using Thrust Piece (T40008) until it is flush.
