 Using the XM band, tune to Channel 0 to find the 8-digit SID and note it for use when contacting XM call center.

XM(R) - Step 3: Confirm satellite receiver activation

During activation the radio must be on and in "SAT" mode with the antenna exposed to the sky with no overhead obstructions. Activation should be
immediate, but in some cases, it may take up to 15 minutes. to determine activation has occurred, check by tuning to different XM channels. If you are
able to receive more than ten channels the activation process has been completed.

Should any activation problems be encountered, relocate vehicle if necessary to allow unobstructed overhead view, or call XM Listener Care at
1-800-852-XMXM (9696).
