• ‒ For vehicles as of model year 2001 (with switch for heated rear window).
• ‒ For vehicles without or with map-controlled engine cooling.

• ◆ The illumination of the rotary control is with a bulb in the type which was installed up to and including model year 2000 (at start of production). Later, the lighting was changed to LEDs. These can no longer be replaced.

• ◆ The following are also installed at the heater control in vehicles with map-controlled cooling:

• ‒ Switch -F269 for temperature selection rotary knob
• ‒ Potentiometer -G267 for temperature selection rotary knob

• Switch for fresh/recirculation air flap -E159 / switch for heated rear window
• ◆ Check switch function for fresh/recirculation air flap
• ◆ Function of switch for heated rear window

Notes:

• ◆ The switch for fresh/recirculation air flap is permanently connected to the heater control.

• ◆ The switch for the heated rear window is permanently connected to the heater controls. It is only present in types which are installed as of model year 2001.
• ◆ In "defrost mode", air recirculation is not possible (air recirculation mode is switched off approx. 15° before the rotary control for air distribution reaches the end stop "air to windscreen").
