Removing and installing piston for rear brake caliper > < Servicing rear brake calipers

1 - Bolt, 35 Nm
q   Self-locking
q   Always renew if removed
q   When loosening and tightening, counter-hold on guide pin
2 - Bleeder screw, 10 Nm
q   Before screwing in, grease thread with thin coat of lithium grease -G 052 150 A2-
3 - Protective cap
4 - Guide pin
q   Lubricate before installing protective cap
5 - Protective cap
q   Insert onto brake carrier and guide pin
6 - Brake carrier with guide pins and protective caps
q   Replacement carriers are supplied assembled and with sufficient grease on guide pins
q   If protective caps or guide pins are damaged, renew using repair kit. Use grease sachet supplied to lubricate the guide pins.
7 - Protective cap
q   Push outer sealing lip onto piston
8 - Piston with automatic adjustment
q   Removing and installing → Chapter
q   Apply a thin coat of lithium grease -G 052 150 A2- to piston
9 - Seal
q   Do not damage when inserting piston
q   Removing and installing → Chapter
10 - Brake caliper housing with lever for handbrake cable
q   Renew the brake caliper housing if there is a leak at the lever for handbrake cable
q   After repairing, pre-bleed brake caliper housing → Anchor
