  Note
The following illustration shows the layout for vehicles with 1.6 ltr. petrol engine and front-wheel drive; the layout may differ depending on the vehicle model.
   
Fuel pipe between metering pump and auxiliary heater -A- is routed on floor of vehicle.
The retainers -B- secure the fuel pipe to the auxiliary heater -A- and hold also the fuel pipes in position at the engine → Engine, mechanics; Rep. Gr. 20; Fuel supply system or → Fuel supply system; Rep. Gr. 20.
Fuel pipe -A- must be routed such that it does not come into contact with components which become warm and must be protected against heat generation which could affect operation.
Fuel pipe -A- and fuel hose to auxiliary heater must be routed such that they do not come into contact with components which become warm and must be protected against heat generation which could affect operation.
