Removing and installing poly V-belt > < Cylinder block (pulley end)

1 - Vibration damper
q   With poly V-belt pulley
q   Removing and installing → Chapter
2 - O-ring
q   Renew
3 - Bolt
q   Renew
q   150 Nm + turn 90° further
q   Use counterhold tool -T10355- when loosening and tightening
4 - Poly V-belt
q   Check for wear
q   Do not kink
  Caution
If a used belt runs in the opposite direction when it is refitted, this can cause breakage.
Before removing, mark direction of rotation of poly V-belt with chalk or felt-tipped pen for re-installation.
q   Removing and installing → Chapter
q   When installing, make sure it is properly seated on pulleys.
5 - Tensioner for poly V-belt
q   Pivot with open-end spanner to slacken poly V-belt
q   Lock in position with locking pin -T10060 A-.

6 - Bracket for ancillaries
q   With oil filter and engine oil cooler
q   Removing and installing bracket for ancillaries → Chapter
q   Removing and installing engine oil cooler → Chapter
7 - Bolt
q   10 Nm
8 - Alternator
q   Removing and installing → Rep. Gr.27
9 - Bolt
q   Tightening torque → Rep. Gr.27
10 - Bolt
q   Tightening sequence → Fig.
11 - Air conditioner compressor
q   Do not unscrew or disconnect refrigerant hoses or pipes
q   Removing and installing → Rep. Gr.87
12 - Bolt
q   25 Nm
13 - Dowel sleeve
q   For air conditioner compressor

Tightening sequence on bracket for ancillaries
–  Fit bracket for ancillaries (first tighten bolt -4-).
–  Tighten bolts in the sequence -1 ... 5- in 3 stages as follows:
  A13-10378
1.  Tighten bolts hand tight.
2.  Tighten bolts to 20 Nm.
3.  Turn bolts 90° further.
