Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Clutch counterhold tool -VW 558-
t  Hexagon bolt M8x45 and hexagon nut M10 (2x)
t  Depth gauge
  W00-0252
Removing
l  Gearbox removed.
–  Secure counterhold tool for clutch -VW 558- to drive plate using hexagon bolt M8x45. Insert two M10 hexagon nuts -1- between counterhold tool and drive plate.
–  Mark installation position of drive plate on crankshaft.
–  Unbolt drive plate.

Installing
–  Fit drive plate with shim -2- (thickness 1.2 mm) and washer -1- (thickness 0.5 mm).
–  Secure drive plate with new bolts.
Tightening torque
  V13-0991

l  1) Renew bolts.
l  2) 90° = one quarter turn.
