Removing and installing vibration damper
Removing and installing vibration damper
Removing
l  Front wheel housing liner removed (front section, right-side) → Rep. gr.66.
–  Remove poly V-belt:
t  → Chapter „Removing and installing poly V-belt - vehicles without air conditioner compressor“.
t  → Chapter „Removing and installing poly V-belt - vehicles with air conditioner compressor and tensioner“.
t  → Chapter „Removing and installing poly V-belt - vehicles with air conditioner compressor and tensioning roller“.
   
–  Vehicles with auxiliary heater: unscrew bolts -2 and 4- and press coolant pipes (right-side) to the right.
  Note
Disregard -items 1, 3-.

–  Counterhold by applying ring spanner to bolt for crankshaft sprocket and slacken bolts for vibration damper.
–  Remove bolts and take off vibration damper.

Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:
l  Tightening torque → Chapter „Poly V-belt drive for vehicles with air conditioner compressor and tensioner - exploded view“
  Note
Renew bolts for vibration damper.
l  Installation position: hole -arrow- in vibration damper must be positioned over raised section of crankshaft sprocket.
–  Install poly V-belt:
t  → Chapter „Removing and installing poly V-belt - vehicles without air conditioner compressor“.
t  → Chapter „Removing and installing poly V-belt - vehicles with air conditioner compressor and tensioner“.
t  → Chapter „Removing and installing poly V-belt - vehicles with air conditioner compressor and tensioning roller“.
