Bonded Backrest Heating Element

Removing

-

Remove front seat:

‹› Manual seat => [ Front Manual Seat ] See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Front Manual Seats

‹› Power seat => [ Power Seat ] See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Power Front Seats

Remove backrest:

‹› Manual seat => [ Backrest ] See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Front Manual Seats

‹› Power seat => [ Backrest ] See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Power Front Seats

Remove cover and padding from backrest.

-

Cut wire - 3 - off of old heating element -  1 -.

Installing

Installation is reverse of removal, but note the following:

-

Align heating element on seat surface, remove protective foil and glue heating element to cushion.

Insert the electrical wire - 3 - into the gap -  4 -.

-

Route connecting wires at locations - 2 - in bottom of gaps, avoiding crossover.
