Disconnect the electrical connector - 1 - on the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor (G62).

‹› Lay a cloth below to catch escaping coolant.

Remove the clamp, to do so, press latches - arrow -.

Remove the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor (G62) - 2 -.

Threaded version

-

Disconnect the electrical connector - 2 - on the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor (G62).

‹› Lay a cloth below to catch escaping coolant.

Remove the bolts - arrows - and the retaining plate -  1 -.

-

Remove the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor (G62).

Installing

Installation is in reverse order of removal, note the following:

‹› Replace O-ring.

‹› To prevent coolant loss, immediately insert new Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor (G62) in connecting pieces.
