Installing

‹› Due to the very small play between the balance shaft and the cylinder block, the balance shaft can be installed only after it has cooled down. It

must be possible to insert the balance shaft into the cylinder block without using a lot of force. If this is not the case, then the balance shaft must be
installed cooled down.

Put the balance shaft in a freezer for 30 minutes or spray it with a chilling spray.

Lubricate the balance shaft bearing with engine oil.

Install the new balance shaft for the intake camshaft and tighten the bolt - 2 -.

-

Replace the O-ring - 1 - and coat with engine oil.
